# Webcasting to connect the world

**Snap AR** represents the comprehensive augmented reality (AR) ecosystem developed by Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat.

This ecosystem encompasses a range of immersive experiences, from popular Lenses (filters) to advanced development tools such as Lens Studio, as well as innovative wearable hardware such as Spectacles.

## Engaging the developer community

To engage the community of creators and developers within this ecosystem, Snap has set up a sophisticated **webcasting service** designed to operate entirely remotely.

## A centralized production control room

The system is based on a centralized production **control room** operating with the help of a **web interface**. This innovative platform enables the creation and management of virtual rooms with which the control room receives, controls, and orchestrates audio and video feeds from the **cameras and microphones** of presenters and participants in real time.

These centralized and mixed streams are then broadcast live on **YouTube**, maximizing the reach and accessibility of technical information and community events. This tool allows Snap to overcome the logistical challenges of remote production, delivering a broadcast-quality experience directly to developers' favorite platforms.
